Fees
Non-EU students do not have to pay the Registration Fee. The fee for each year of PhD studies at GSSR for the candidates from all non-EU countries is 11000 PLN. For details of how to apply for a reduction in fees visit Financial Aid section of this wesite. Tuition and fees are payable in 1, 2, 3 or 9 instalments. For a detailed schedule of payments please click here. Payments in PLN:
To convert the currencies, students may refer to currency converter sites on the Internet (for example http://www.xe.com/ucc/) or inquire with a local bank or travel agency. Methods of Payment Not later than October 1, 2010 successful applicants are requested to make a payment of the 1st instalment of the tuition fee. This payment can be made by:
Late Payments, Late Fees and Penalties Once a student has chosen one of the payment plans, payments must be made by the deadlines provided. Students may change their payment plan during the academic year by written request to the Finances and Marketing Director of the School. Interest will be added to overdue payments at the rate of 0.05% per day after the due date. If the student is in arrears with the payments for over three months, his/her student status will be terminated for non-payment. A student who has been notified of the termination of his/her student status because of non-payments of fees, and who would like to resume studies, must first pay all outstanding fees. After that, the student should submit a written request to the Director of the School. The decision to readmit the student lies entirely with the Director. The payment of outstanding fees does not automatically entitle the student to resume studies. Policy on Holds Failure to meet any obligation to the GSSR, will result in the suspension of access to student services including - but not limited to - transcripts, diplomas, access to the GSSR computer network, the GSSR library, research grants and stipends until the obligation is met and the hold is cleared by the respective office. Estimated Costs of Living in Warsaw All estimated costs of living are listed in Polish Zloty (PLN). In order to budget appropriately for the academic year at the GSSR, students need to take into account the length of their stay in Warsaw, the estimates provided below, and any additional individual needs for travel, recreation, special health care, costs for accompanying family members and other personal needs. All costs of living listed in this document are estimates only and are intended to help students plan their financial resources. Actual expenditures will vary depending on individual spending habits. Our students' experience shows that students need to budget an average of PLN 2,000 per month to cover housing costs (including utilities), meals, city transportation, some personal expenses and incidentals.
