Candidates to the CSS Master's programs who wish to be considered for financial aid are required to complete Part 9 [and/or Part 10] of the application form available at How to Apply section. Financial aid awards are determined at the end of the admissions process when the selection committee completes its academic merit ranking lists. The CSS Admissions Office then matches these lists with the financial aid selections submitted by applicants. Due to the fact that the number of applicants eligible for admission is normally higher than the number of students to whom CSS can offer support, financial aid offers depend on an applicant's place in the merit-ranking list. CSS financial aid is awarded on a highly competitive basis. Therefore, each applicant is urged to make a responsible assessment of his or her financial need before requesting financial aid, or to seek support from other sources such as foundation grants, or individual or employment sponsors. Decisions on CSS financial aid are announced together with the offer of acceptance. Financial aid offers are not negotiable after the submission of the signed Enrollment Confirmation Form. Forms of Financial Aid The amount of financial aid the CSS can offer is limited and normally it takes the form of partial tuition fee waivers and/or CSS stipends. Partial Tuition Fee Waivers Financial aid is normally offered by the CSS in the form of partial fee-waivers. All financial aid is awarded strictly on the basis of academic merit. Availability of such aid is limited. Applicants should therefore bear in mind that e.g. for a given number of 50% fee waivers the CSS is able to offer twice as 25% waivers, etc.
Stipends (contribution towards living expenses) Only non-Polish applicants from Central-Eastern European countries, post-soviet countries and Mongolia (the detailed list of those countries) are eligible to apply. The stipend is normally offered by the CSS in the form of a full stipend. The Full Stipend is a sum of USD 4,950 (before stoppages). The stipends will be transferred to students' bank accounts or paid in cash in monthly instalments. The stipends will be paid in PLN. All stipends are awarded strictly on the basis of academic merit and availability is limited. Other Procedural Matters Financial aid is awarded for the following academic year only. The award is valid for one year and is not transferable if the student defers enrollment. Students seeking to pursue a horizontal course of study (e.g., a second Master's degree at the CSS) may apply for admission, but will not be considered for a second CSS scholarship award or partial financial assistance. Special Note: While job possibilities do exist, the CSS does not guarantee any work for enrolled students either on- or off-campus.
